Tarique calls chief adviser after landing at airport, expresses gratitude for security arrangements
Bangladesh Nationalist Party acting chair Tarique Rahman on Thursday expressed his gratitude to interim government chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus for the arrangements made, particularly for his security, on the occasion of his return from London.
Soon after landing at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Tarique Rahman made a phone call to the chief adviser from the airport lounge.
A video of the conversation was later shared in Tarique’s verified Facebook page with the caption, ‘Thanks to the chief adviser’.
In the video, Tarique Rahman is heard asking Professor Yunus about his health before thanking him on behalf of himself and his family.
‘I would like to thank you on my behalf and on behalf of my family. You have made various arrangements, especially for my security. Thank you so much,’ he said before ending the call with greetings.
Earlier, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Tarique Rahman along with his family members first landed at the Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9:57am.
After a brief stopover, the aircraft reached the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 11:40am.
Tarique returned home ending his long 17-year exile in the United Kingdom.
