Biman suspends flights to 4 Middle East routes indefinitely
Online desk: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended flights to four Middle East destinations indefinitely due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the region.
The affected routes are Doha in Qatar, Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. Flights on these routes will remain grounded until further notice, the airline confirmed.
Sources from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, confirmed the decision, saying the suspension will continue until a new directive is issued.
The source added that flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi remain suspended until March 10. Services on those two routes may resume thereafter, subject to improvement in the regional situation and clearance from the respective airport authorities.
The airline said it is continuously monitoring developments in the Middle East and will provide passengers with timely updates as the situation evolves.
