Bangladesh reports zero daily Covid death on Thursday

Bangladesh desk: Bangladesh on Thursday reported zero daily Covid death and 265 new cases in 24 hours ending 8:00am on the day.

This is the zero daily Covid death since November 20 when the country logged zero Covid death after about 20 months. On April 3, 2020, Bangladesh witnessed no daily Covid death.

The country reported the first Covid death on March 18, 2020 and no Covid death was reported on three dates between March 18, 2020 and April 3, 2020.

With the latest figure, the official Covid death toll has reached 28,016 and the tally of Covid cases is 15,78,553.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.22 per cent. A total of 21,496 were tested in the reporting period of 24 hours across the country.
