Bangladesh has expressed fresh concerns over attacks on nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

‘This would further create risks of affecting the stability of this region, already vulnerable and pose as threat to international peace and security,’ said a press release of the foreign ministry issued in Dhaka on Sunday.

The statement came hours after the United States had carried out attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran on Sunday, joining Israel’s bombing campaign after days of speculation over US involvement in the conflict, triggering global debate and condemnations.

On June 13, Bangladesh unequivocally expressed its strong condemnation and deep concern over the latest Israeli military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying, ‘This blatant act of hostility constitutes a clear violation of United Nations Charter and fundamental principles of international law and the sovereignty of Iran.’
