Khamenei declares Iran’s victory over Israel

Online desk: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has proclaimed that Iran has achieved “victory” over Israel in the wake of their recent military conflict.

Taking to social media platform X on Thursday, Khamenei declared, “The blow delivered by the Islamic Republic of Iran has shattered nearly all of Israel’s claims and arrogance. I extend my congratulations on this victory against the misguided Zionist regime.”

Moments before this post, Khamenei had already extended his congratulations to the Iranian people for their perseverance and triumph against Israel.

Notably, this message is only the third public statement from the Supreme Leader since the conflict began, as he has not made a public appearance during this period.

In a separate post in Persian on his Telegram account, Khamenei further stated, “Congratulations for the third time for the unity of Iranian nation.”

He praised the collective stance of the Iranian people, writing, “A nation of nearly 90 million stood shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces. The Iranian nation has demonstrated its unique character and shown that in times of need, a single unified voice will emerge from them.”
