All primary school teachers to be vaccinated in a week

Bangladesh desk: State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain has said all primary school teachers across the country will receive COVID-19 vaccine within a week.

He said this after receiving his first vaccine jab at the Secretariat’s Clinic on Tuesday morning.

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the state minister said, “She (Prime Minister) called me and asked me to vaccinate all primary school teachers as the schools are going to be reopened any time soon.”

“We will administer the vaccine to the primary school teachers within seven days as the Prime Minister has already directed the Health Ministry,” the state minister further said.
