Bangladesh Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Osman Hadi shot in capital Dhaka

Inqilab Moncho spokesperson and independent parliament candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency Sharif Osman Hadi was shot this noon in the capital’s Bijoynagar Box Culvert area.

Confirming the incident to BSS, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said unidentified assailants on three motorbikes approached Hadi around 2:25 pm while he was campaigning in the area and opened fire from close range.

Hadi, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at the One-Stop Emergency Centre.
