Jamaat’s ‘national rally’ begins with huge crowds

Bangladesh desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami began its pre-announced ‘national rally’ at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan to press home the party’s seven-point demand.

Participants are still arriving at the rally venue with processions, chanting slogans.

 

Around 10 lakh people are expected to join the rally, the party sources said.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement in and around the areas came to a standstill due to the gathering.
