US also responsible for Israeli attacks: Iran

In response, Iran has declared that the United States must also be held accountable for the attacks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that, under the UN Charter, Tehran reserves the legal and legitimate right to retaliate against Israel’s aggression.
In an official statement, the ministry said:
“The dangerous and far-reaching consequences of the Zionist Israeli regime’s aggression against our beloved homeland Iran will fall squarely on Israel and its supporters.”
The ministry further stated: “Such aggressive measures by the Zionist regime could not have been carried out without the coordination and approval of the United States. Therefore, as the main supporter of the regime, the U.S. government will also be held responsible for the serious consequences and regional fallout of this operation.”
An Israeli military official, speaking anonymously to The Times of Israel, confirmed that the airstrikes were conducted in five waves, targeting at least eight locations across Iran, with more than 100 air raids executed.
The strikes triggered massive explosions in Tehran, prompting Iranian authorities to suspend all operations at the capital’s international airport. In response, Israel has also closed its airspace amid fears of retaliation.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the military operation will continue “for as long as necessary.”
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has denied any American involvement in the attack but warned Iran against launching strikes on American bases in the region.
The attack comes shortly after former President Donald Trump pledged to maintain diplomatic ties with Tehran — a move that now appears to be overshadowed by the sudden escalation in hostilities.
