Sports desk: ICC (International Cricket Council) has decided to grant ODI and Test status to all full-member women’s cricket teams.
That means women’s teams of
Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe are now free to play Test cricket.
“It was decided that Test and ODI status shall be permanently awarded to all Full Member women’s teams,” the ICC said on Thursday.
Earlier, only ten teams –Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Ireland and Netherlands– have played Test cricket.
