Russia warns US against direct support to Israel

Russia has cautioned the United States against direct military involvement in the escalating Iran-Israel conflict, warning that such actions could destabilize the already fragile Middle East region.

The warning comes amid reports of potential joint US-Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and heightened tensions involving threats against Iran’s Supreme Leader.

On Wednesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov warned that US support to Israel in the conflict could push the Middle East into complete instability.

Separately, Sergey Naryshkin, head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, described the Iran-Israel situation as highly volatile and fraught with crisis.

The warning from Moscow follows reports from US sources that President Donald Trump is considering multiple options regarding the Iran-Israel conflict. Among these is the possibility of coordinated attacks with Israel targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

Tensions have further escalated with Trump issuing a veiled threat against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating, “We know where Ayatollah Khamenei is, but we won’t kill him; at least not right now.”

Russia’s cautionary stance underscores concerns over the potential for wider regional conflict if external powers become directly involved.
